When I started , it was really all about rebellion. My favorite moisturizer had been re-formulated into something that I no longer recognized. And needless to say, I was not happy with the results. So began my one woman boycott of that entire product line.

From there, being the type of person that I am I decided "I will just make it myself!" I figured that since I had already been altering existing products I'd purchased into my own little custom concoctions, how hard could it possibly be to make something from scratch? Right? Well, this do-it-myself attitude is both a gift and curse, but I will speak on that topic some other time.

It was around this time that I was also becoming more aware of living a healthier lifestyle. I had recently acquired my mother's well-worn copy of Jethro Kloss's "Back To Eden"; a bible of natural herbs and foods. Couple that with the fact that I have always been a label reader, and I found the more I learned and researched, the more I became increasingly disappointed in the availability of products on the market that are mindful of what ingredients companies encourage their consumers to slather all over their bodies.

Through much research and even more trial and error, I started on the path to creating the products of my dreams. And surprisingly, others were interested in them as well. From a few friends and family members...to friends and family of those friends and family...to customers who I now consider friends and family, this little act of stubbornness and rebellion became .
